CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION
The market is flooded with many fake and incompetent companies claming to be genuine certification bodies. It is not very easy to identify if a certificate shown to you is from a genuine certification body.

There are several indications to identify a fake certificate and its provider. Some of them are listed below:

* Certificates are issued without any audits. Look for audit reports from the certified company.
* Certificates are issued at surprisingly low price in a very short period. Remember, quality comes at a cost.
* Look for the accreditation symbol especially from a accreditation body which is a IAF signatory. However, as ISO itself mentions, Non-accreditation does not necessarily mean that the certification body is incompetent.
